    Job Summary

  • The Central Monitoring Technician monitors non-invasive cardiac activity of patient populations by continuous electrocardiographic display.

  • The Monitoring Technician communicates with the Registered Nurse any changes in the basic electrocardiographic pattern.

  • Under the direction of the RN, the Monitoring Technician also assists in nursing cares.

  • The Monitoring Technician is also responsible for ordering supplies and re-stocking supplies in the rooms and patient care carts.

    Education and/or Experience License/Certification/Registration

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • On-the-job training provided.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

  • Previous experience in medical field and/or telemetry monitoring preferred.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

    License/Certification/Registration

  • Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) degree is preferred.

    Work Schedule

  • Varied shifts; 72 hours every 2 weeks.

  • 7:00 am - 7:30 pm, ​​​​​​​7:00 pm - 7:30 am

  • Every 3rd weekend

  • Every 3rd holiday

  • Occasional call time

    Pay

    The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

  • $17.50 - $23.00 per hour
