Description We are offering a contract-to-hire employment opportunity for a meticulous and organized Credit Clerk in Bakersfield, California. The role is within the financial services industry, specifically focusing on member services. The successful candidate will be tasked with handling customer credit applications, maintaining accurate records, and resolving credit inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer credit records

• Resolve customer credit inquiries promptly and professionally

• Monitor customer credit accounts consistently, and take necessary actions to collect delinquent payments

• Deliver excellent customer service through strong communication and phone etiquette

• Multi-task efficiently to handle multiple customer inquiries and applications

• Use available resources to research and resolve moderately complex issues

• Keep supervisors informed of complex or significant issues that may impact other areas

• Act as a supportive team member, providing assistance to co-workers as needed to ensure the accomplishment of department goals

• Handle calls within prescribed department standards, including number of rings, length of on-hold time, and call abandonment rate

• Remain calm and professional when handling difficult or upset callers, providing accurate and thorough information Requirements • Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Member Services Representative role within the Financial Services industry

• Proficient in claims processing and medical claims

• Demonstrable skills in customer service and problem resolution

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

• Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment

• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the capability to prioritize tasks effectively

• Proficient in using computer software and applications relevant to the role

• Familiarity with financial products and services is desirable

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; higher education in finance or related field is a plus

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to the highest degree of professional standards

• Must possess a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
