Job Description

LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE

Provides direct patient care for offenders and staff and performs nursing procedures including administration of medication and inter-muscular and subcutaneous injections and provision of prescribed emergency care; applies nursing knowledge and skills.

Document nursing functions completed utilizing Department of Corrections Policy and procedures.

This position will be for 2nd Shift 12:00 pm - 10:00 pm - 40 hours per week.

Days off as assigned and every other weekend .

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the Iowa Board of Nursing or licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact Administrator's Agreement of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.
