This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established business that designs, manufactures and tests industrial turbochargers into the power generation, marine and rail traction industries.

Part of the Wabtec Corporation; Napier Turbochargers is part of a world-wide organisation that provides excellent career opportunities both within the UK and abroad.

This position will undertake a range of production based tasks in the machining and fitting turbochargers leading to NVQ Level 3 qualification. The disciplines within these areas will cover the following:

Fitting:

  • Turbocharger Assembly

  • Rotor Balancing

  • Development & Production Testing

Machining:

  • Turning

  • Milling

  • Grinding

Qualifications:

  • 3 x GCSE's at minimum Grade 4, preferably to include Maths and Science subject

Experience:

  • No previous experience required, however a demonstrable interested in mechanical engineering through school or hobby interest

Skills:

  • Self-motivated individual with enthusiastic approach

  • Good communication both written and verbal

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Punctual and reliable
