Air Mobility Command Recreation Assistant (ODR) in Little Rock AFB, Arkansas

Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Little Rock AFB, AR - Outdoor Recreation facility. This is a flexible position with 0 hours guaranteed but can be scheduled up to 40 hours a week. Responsibilities Performs and/or assists in operation and maintenance of recreation facilities. Types of duties include, but are not limited to the following: test equipment for safe operation; demonstrated safety and conservation techniques for campsite, outdoor, and hunting areas; demonstrated equipment and techniques of various outdoor activities such as camping and boating; inspects outdoor recreation facilities and equipment for safety, security and general conditions; schedules equipment and outdoor recreation areas for use, with responsibilities for seeing that they are vacated or returned in good order. Performs cleaning of equipment, to include: bounce houses and campers; performs cleaning of facilities to include: bath houses and restroom facilities. May operate one or more motor vehicles to include: light trucks, sedans and 15 passenger vans weighing up to 10,000 pounds on and off the installation. May run cash register or front counter area to include taking payments for equipment, FamCamp, stables, RV storage, and trips. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Experience demonstrating a working familiarity with the routines and procedures followed in group activities or programs; and practical knowledge and/or experience of recreational activities and equipment, rules and procedures in a recreation program activity which has involved recreation work in the area of specialty in which the position is assigned; ability and skill in dealing with the public. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. Additional Information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A probationary period may be required. Pre-employment requirements must be satisfactorily met prior to Entrance on Duty (EOD). Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
