Job Summary and Qualifications

The HCA ITG Consulting Product Analyst WFH leads the efforts of reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating clinical informatics system and user needs. They rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. They are sought after to coach/mentor others and to provide consultative expertise related to clinical informatics. Cons Prod Analyst is engaged in multiple projects, most with significant interdependencies with existing systems. Cons Prod Analyst works with multiple stakeholders within ITG, Field, Clinical Business Operations and Clinical Vendors to define strategies, scope and requirements to deliver successful IT solutions. Consulting Product Analysts work on highly visible and extremely complex efforts. They must have the ability to prioritize multiple activities and tasks simultaneously and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• 50% Analysis, Design and Issue Resolution

• Requirements Focus – Defines requirements and ensures specific requirements are met and approved by users where critical to project results and timetable.

• Process Improvement Focus – Identifies opportunities to improve existing processes.

• Critical Thinking/Decision Making – Applies critical thinking skills to solve difficult problems with effective solutions and to make timely, informed decisions.

• Subject Matter Leader – Ability to take responsibility for MEDITECH modules, working to become a subject matter expert that leads effort in issue resolution and enhancement requests

• 20% Leadership

• Managing Expectations - Manages expectations of customers by ensuring a common understanding of what is needed, associated risks and expected delivery/resolution.

• Resource to Others – Servers as a mentor to others within the department.

• Clarifies and Seeks Understanding – Probes for and provides information to clarify situations; actively seeks information to understand customer circumstances, problems, and expectations.

• Communication Skills: Oral, Written, Listening - Ability to draw conclusions and connect outside factors into conversations and work sessions; Prepare and deliver effective written communication to all parties; Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at various levels within the organization.

• 10% Engagement and Organizational Management

• Organizational Awareness and Navigation - Can maneuver through complex political situations effectively; anticipates obstacles and plans his/her approach accordingly.

• Customer Trust & Confidence - Possesses proven track record. Effectively manages customer expectations through establishing relationships and transparent communications.

• Functional & Technical Knowledge – Demonstrates high level of expertise in a variety of Clinical concepts, practices and procedures.

RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE

• 7+ years

• Clinical background preferred

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s Degree Required

OTHER/SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Prefer past experience in a clinical setting

• Prefer experience with MEDITECH clinical documentation applications

• Strong relationship management skills

• Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

• Highly motivated and able to work independently with general supervision

• Sense of responsibility and accountability; someone who takes ownership and initiative

• The ability to think and act; decisiveness, assertiveness, with the ability to achieve results quickly

• Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.

• Some travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel/management.
